Laboratory Technician

Full Time Position

   

Job Requirements:

  • Willing to train, Science or Chemistry degree a plus
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of MS Word and Excel a must
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, work well with others in team, maintain and create new systems
  • Experience with hands-on nuts and bolts workshop environment a plus
  • Be reliable, responsible to clients for correct shipment of equipment and sampling media

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sample receiving, logging into LIMS System via data entry, sample disposal
  • Maintain, calibrate and track sampling equipment
  • Prepare, package and ship light sampling equipment and sampling media via online shipping carriers
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with clients in matters of sample shipment and Chain of Custody procedures
  • Prepare weekly/daily logs
  • Clean & prepare glassware

Chemist

Full Time Position

   

Job Requirements: 

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or equivalent
  • Familiarization with the theories and principles of Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation including GCs, detectors, column selection and analysis techniques
  • 0 to 2 years of laboratory analytical experience with GC, GC/MS, HPLC, IC, IR, ASE, etc.
  • Familiarization with data acquisition software, i.e. Chemstation, Peaknet and Chromperfect
  • Must be fluent with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word 
  • Self-motivated, responsible individual with good communication skills and willingness to learn and progress over time through consistent dedication and training. The position requires the individual to multi-task and to be flexible and participate in a team environment. Ability to peer train, cross train and to learn multiple instruments is a plus for career enhancement in this lab environment.

GC-MS Chemist

Full Time Position

   

Job Requirements: 

  • B.S. or higher degree in Chemistry required
  • 3 to 10 years of analytical laboratory experience, specifically with GC/MS
  • Additional experience with HPLC, IC a plus
  • Must be familiar with the theories and principles of Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation including GCs, detectors, column selection and analysis techniques
  • Must be familiar with data acquisition software, i.e. Chemstation, Peaknet and Chromperfect
  • Must be fluent with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word 
  • Familiarization with a wide range of air analysis methods, sampling equipment and instrumentation a plus
  • Self-motivated, responsible individual with good communication skills and willingness to learn and progress over time through consistent dedication and training. The position requires the individual to multi-task, be independent/self-sufficient, and be flexible and participate in a team environment.
  • A flexible schedule is a requirement and involves weekend and evening responsibilities.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Sample analysis using gas or liquid chromatographs (GC, GC/MS, HPLC, IC, etc.) 
  • Data handling and report preparation 
  • Quality Control/Quality Assurance 
  • Instrument maintenance/troubleshooting 
  • Method development and research 
  • Train other laboratory personnel
